Today, we got up really early and headed for Venice, which is located approximately 150 kilometres east of Sirmione. Since one cannot drive into Venice, it is best to park the car in one of the parking lots that are located at the outskirts of the town.
We opted for the Venezia Tronchetto Parking Lot (Isola Nova del Tronchetto), which charges 21 Euros for the day. From Tronchetto, we took the People Mover, which is a public transit system that opened in 2010. It connects Piazzale Roma with the Tronchetto via a stop above the Marittima cruise terminal.
From Piazzale Roma, we started our sightseeing trip through this amazing city – we covered a total of 22 kilometres.
