The harbour of Alghero is located directly at the old city fortification wall and belongs to the most popular marinas of the island. Countless sailors, yachts, fisher boats and rubber boats lie at anchor in this beautiful Marina. There are also boats going to the Grotta di Nettuno from here and in the evenings a little market is set up. Through the main gate the visitors can get straight to the Piazza Civica, the pulsating center of the old town.
