Manarola , Italy | 21.05.2024

Manarola, perched on a high rock 70 meters above sea level, is one of the most enchanting and romantic villages in the Cinque Terre. Its small harbor boasts a boat ramp, a quaint piazza, and picturesque multicolored houses overlooking the sea. You can enjoy a meal at one of the seafood restaurants in the little square by the harbor. The harbor area is adorned with colorful rowing boats and serves as the village’s main spot for sunbathing and swimming from morning until dusk. It’s an ideal place to spend a leisurely day soaking up the sun and watching people dive off the cliffs. Though there is no traditional beach, it offers some of the finest deep-water swimming. Along the main road, boats are hauled onto dry land whenever the sea is rough. The village is a maze of steep, narrow alleys called carrugi, which lead down to the sea.
