Chania, Crete | 12.08.2021

Chania is one of the bigger cities on the northwest coast of Crete, which is known for its 14th-century Venetian harbour, it’s narrow streets and, at the harbour entrance, its 16th-century lighthouse with Venetian, Egyptian and Ottoman influences.

From the harbour promenade you have a great view of the lighthouse while having a mini ottoman mosque on your right and pastel-coloured Venetian buildings to your left.

The old town of Chania has Venetian, Ottoman, Arab and Greek influences and is quite a colorful combination of time periods and cultures.
